In collaboration with Holy Cow! Creative design agency, environmental graphics for the Central Acute Services Building (CASB) were commissioned for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead as part of the redevelopment project for the Westmead Health precinct. The CASB is the tallest hospital building in Australia and connects Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, hosting a range of adult and paediatric services including emergency, pharmacy, imaging and state-of-the art operating suites.

The calming natural colour palette draws on local plant life and the riverways, and is energised through a collage like layering of patterns. The palette moves away from the bright primary colours often associated with childhood and instead creates something more specific and sophisticated, something that older patients and parents can engage with too.
